Yes, you heard me right.
Do not be afraid to be a little selfish sometimes!
This concept might sound very alien to you, as it did to me when I first heard it. But let me explain:
As soon as we become a mother, we focus all our energy on our family and our family’s happiness, often neglecting ourselves. We don’t dare take “me-time” or ask for something for ourselves, do we?
I was like that too! Until, one day, I heard this very eye-opening, profound sentence:
“Your kids don’t hear what you say and don’t do what you tell them to do because they are too busy WATCHING what you DO!”
Think about this for a second:
If your kids watch you and copy your behavior instead of listening to you and your advice, what would you want them to see? What would you want your kids to learn?
Would you want them to learn how to never think of themselves, to always put themselves last, to be exhausted, stressed and overwhelmed all the time (in the name of family happiness and being the perfect mom)?
Or would you want your kids to learn to be happy and serene, well-balanced and full of joy, to have enough energy to laugh and to play and to enjoy family life with a smile?
So here is a very simple, easy tip to improve your happiness and IN RETURN your family’s happiness:
Sending You Much Love & Laughter
