Part 2: RELATIONSHIPS (Love and Parenting)

Hello Beautiful Mommies!

Last week we started on our MOMMY FREEDOM December Series – “How to Start 2021 with SUCCESS” and told you about the first part of our “Mindful Morning Magic” routine.

(If you have missed the email, you can click here and read it on our blog.)

This week we want to continue to inspire you to think about your personal success habits for the year 2021 by introducing our second “Mindful Morning Magic” routine:

Focus on our RELATIONSHIPS (Love and Parenting).

After my meditation, I tend to wake up our son and we all have breakfast together before he goes to school.

I know, breakfast time and getting-ready-to-go-to-work time can be really stressful! But here is our hack:

Give yourselves 10 minutes more time than you think you might need!

Typically, we only have 30 minutes for this. But we make sure we make these 30 minutes count.

How? Like this:

  • We put our PHONES AWAY for that time.
  • We SIT DOWN to eat (or in my case, to drink my tea or coffee).
  • We eat SLOWLY and spend CONSCIOUS TIME together. This might be in silence or in conversation, whatever FEELS right for everyone’s energy that morning.
  • We DON’T DISCUSS our workload, our stress or worries if we have them (they won’t run away, so they can wait).
  • We PAY ATTENTION to each other and give kindness.
  • We LAUGH and JOKE.
  • We do our best to fill each other’s cup full enough to ensure a successful day full of LOVE and LAUGHTER.

(A really easy hack to do this is to find out which Love Language is your partner’s and your children’s main Love Language. – To learn more about that click here.)

My husband’s main Love Language is SERVICE, so I make sure I either prepare him his breakfast or at least his cup of coffee and place it on the table for him. My son’s main Love Language is TIME TOGETHER, so I make sure I give him full attention during breakfast, … or we brush our teeth together. Yes, that sounds so trivial, doesn’t it? But it makes all the difference for someone whose primary Love Language is time together.

We hope this might inspire some of you to create your own, loving, empowering family morning routine.

Don’t feel like you need to do all of these techniques at once. But maybe you want to start with one of the practices mentioned and then see how that affects you and your day.

If you would like to learn more about any of the above-mentioned practices, and how you can learn them, let us know and we will do a more detailed blog or video.

Sending You Much Love & Laughter
